on a road he used to live

I felt in the wind
I could see none of their faces
but I knew it happened here
like it burned so deep within them
charred the strands of time with fear

now I've got a bad feeling about this
cause wherever I go
there's a man or ghost just behind my ear

for someone to explain the things I know
are hiding in the shapes

all my friends tell me I'm crazy
it was nothing to fear at all
it's your chemicals
a misfire between the cortex halls
you might think you're inside
